Very Important Player (VIP) 

Loyalty Program – Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

The Very Important Player (VIP) loyalty program is designed to reward members of The Collector’s Cave community for their continued support.

Membership is free and optional.

By joining the program, members agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Points earned determine membership tier and associated benefits.

2. Earning Loyalty Points

Members earn loyalty points as follows:

2.1 Standard Earning

Members earn 1 loyalty point for every €1 spent in-store or online.

Points are awarded on:

• Product purchases
• Paid event entries

2.2 Calculation Rules

Points are calculated on the final amount paid after discounts.

Shipping fees, gift cards, deposits unless otherwise specified, and refunded transactions do not earn points.

If a transaction is refunded, the corresponding points will be deducted.

2.3 Promotional Multipliers

From time to time, The Collector’s Cave may offer:

• Double points promotions
• Bonus points on selected products or events

Such promotions:

• Are temporary
• Apply only during the stated promotional period
• Cannot be applied retrospectively
• May be modified or withdrawn at any time

2.4 General Rules

• Points have no cash value
• Points are non-transferable
• Points cannot be exchanged for cash or credit
• The Collector’s Cave reserves the right to correct any points credited in error

3. Membership Tiers

There are four membership tiers based on total accumulated loyalty points:

3.1 Tier Upgrades

Members are automatically upgraded once the required points threshold is reached.

Upgrades take effect immediately.

3.2 Tier Duration

Once a tier is reached, it remains valid for 12 months from the date it is achieved.

3.3 Retention & Review

At the end of the 12-month period:

• Tier status will be reviewed based on points earned during the trailing 12 months from the date the tier was achieved.
• If the retention requirement is met, the tier remains active for another 12 months.
• If not, the member will be moved down by one tier.

4. Tier Benefits

Wood Tier (0–250 points)

Wood Tier members receive:

• Choose your booster pack option, where applicable
• Access to pre-orders, with a 25% deposit required

Bronze Tier (251–1,000 points)

Includes all Wood benefits, plus:

• Discounted rates when booking a table with us:

  • €4 instead of €5 per adult aged 16 and over
  • €6 instead of €7.50 for 1 adult and 1 child under 16 playing together
  • €10 instead of €12 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 16 playing together
• €0.50 discount on standard single TCG booster packs
• 10% deposit required for pre-orders
• Increased trade-in rate for single TCG cards: up to 75% of the Cardmarket Low price, compared to the standard up to 65%, subject to the Trade-In & Valuation Policy below

Silver Tier (1,001–2,000 points)

Includes all Wood and Bronze benefits, plus:

• No deposit required on pre-orders
• 5% discount on standard TCG booster boxes
• 5% discount on gaming accessories
• Entry to exclusive events, subject to availability, event rules, registration deadlines, and capacity limits

Gold Tier (2,001+ points)

Includes all Wood, Bronze and Silver benefits, plus:

• 5% discount on board games
• 5% discount on TCG premium booster packs and boxes
• 5% discount on RPG books
• 20% discount on exclusive event entry

5. Trade-In & Valuation Policy

Where trade-in benefits apply:

Card valuation is based on the Cardmarket Low price at the time of assessment.

Card condition grading is determined in-store by The Collector’s Cave staff.

Final acceptance of trade-ins remains at the discretion of The Collector’s Cave.

Minimum Value Rule for Low-Value Cards

For cards with a Cardmarket Low price below €0.10, the increased trade-in rate does not apply.

Instead, the following fixed trade-in values apply:

• Cards valued at €0.02 → €0.01 trade-in value
• Cards valued at €0.05 → €0.02 trade-in value
• Cards valued at €0.10 → €0.05 trade-in value
• Cards valued below €0.02 may not be eligible for trade-in

The Collector’s Cave reserves the right to refuse bulk submissions of low-value cards or apply additional review where necessary.

6. General Conditions

• Benefits cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
• Membership accounts may not be shared.
• Abuse, fraud, or misuse of the program may result in suspension or termination of membership.

The Collector’s Cave reserves the right to:

• • Modify tier thresholds
  • Adjust benefits
  • Update retention requirements
  • Amend these Terms & Conditions

Reasonable notice will be provided where possible.

7. Program Changes or Termination

The Collector’s Cave reserves the right to modify or discontinue the VIP program at its discretion. In the event of termination, reasonable notice will be provided where possible.
